Cross Functional Training Opportunity

volunteer 179-day TDY assignments to CCAS

Information/Guidance/Tools:
- This
information is provided to notify employees of a unique opportunity to cross
train into the Property Administration career field.
- The Combat Support
Center and the Property Division have collaborated to seek CCAS volunteers
and increase the Agency’s Property Administration, GS-1103 career field.
- Based on CCAS and Property Division
requirements, the Property Division will sponsor thirty volunteers for a
cross-training program.
- Volunteering
candidates must receive the endorsement of their supervisors and be
available to meet 4-weeks of classroom instruction in June 2009 and
subsequent 30-days of On-the-Job-Training in July 2009.
- Qualified
candidates will be placed on an Individual Development Plan (IDP) that
identifies both classroom, on-line, and On-the-Job Training with a fully
warranted Property Administrator.

Upon completion of
training, qualified candidates will be scheduled for 179-day TDY
assignment to CCAS.
- Volunteering candidates will need to
meet CENTCOM and DCMA deployment requirements prior to acceptance into the
cross-training opportunity.
- Current rating of
record of “Fully Successful” and no adverse personnel actions pending
- Proof of US
Citizenship
- Security
Clearance
- Pass drug
screening
- Pass Federal
Occupational Health (FOH) medical screening, meeting USCENTCOM
physical standards for Individual Protection and Individual/Unit
Deployment Policy
- Agree to
immunizations for world-wide deployment
- Must be exempt
from military recall
- Obtain and
maintain a Defense Travel Credit Card
- Obtain and
maintain US passport
- Selected candidates
will receive training opportunities from the Property Division and DAU
- CON 100 -- one
week
- IND 100 -- two
weeks (Covering the old and new FAR 45)
- IND 103 -- one
week covering Property Control Systems Analysis
- Upon successful completion of
on-the-job training, candidates will be eligible for initial volunteer CCAS
assignment as an IPMS (Limited Property warrant).
- Level I DAWIA
certification may be awarded upon successful deployment completion.
- Opportunities
for further training towards Level II certification may be made
available based on mission requirements.
- Selected candidates
will receive pre-deployment information/instructions from the DCMA Combat
Support Center
- Deploying
candidate are eligible for the following
- Special Act
Award 25% of basic pay
- 40 hour
Time-off Award
- Entitlements
during deployments, as applicable
- Danger pay
based upon geographical assignment in area of responsibility (AOR)

Foreign Post Differential

Holiday Pay, Sunday Pay, Night Differential
per established AOR work schedule
- Interested candidates
should complete the
CCAS volunteer
application available on the
DCMA CCAS website, citing interest in the IPMS
CROSS FUNCTIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM.

applications through your supervisor to the
CCAS Applications Inbox.
If selected, you will be contacted by the Combat Support Center to schedule
your FOH physical evaluation and screening.
