Subject: Class Determination of Domestic Non-Availability
(DNAD) for Needle Roller Bearings (INFORMATION)

New Information/Guidance:
- The Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition,
Technology and Logistics (USD(AT&L)) has determined that satisfactory
quality and sufficient quantity of compliant specialty metals in the form
of Needle Roller Bearings cannot be procured as and when needed. As a
result, contracting officers may procure end items, and components
thereof, containing Needle Roller Bearings notwithstanding the country
where the specialty metals contained in such items were melted or
produced.
- This information is applicable to the
Specialty Metals
Clause Compliance interim instruction.
