Information Memorandum No. 07-108
Subject: Contract View eTool (INFORMATION)
Date:
February 21, 2007
Target Audience:
All DCMA Personnel Needing Access to Contract Level Data
New Information/Guidance/Tools:
-
The Contract View eTool was deployed some time ago
and may be used by anyone interested in viewing contract and modification
data contained in SDW.
Recently a new version of Contract View was deployed which captures all
modifications and can produce a mod index record which will help DCMA perform
obligation audits on problem contracts or contracts ready to be closed.
-
The
Contract View (CV) application is used to search and browse contracts and
modifications. Users can query for contracts by
Contract Number,
Administrative DoDAAC, CAGE Code, and ACO Code. They can select a contract
and view general contract data, ACRNs, Line Items, Special Provisions, and
Contract Modifications.
- Information
regarding on-line training (videos, user's manual, and quick reference guide)
can be found in the eTools Training Suite for
Contract View.
-
Use of the eTool application
has many advantages for the user:
- Because the data is
extracted from SDW, the information is available even when MOCAS is down.
- The Contract View
application can readily provide a listing of all contract modifications and export
the data into an excel spreadsheet for import into EDW as follows:
- To view all the
modifications on an existing contract/order, simply use the tool to search by
contract number. You will be automatically directed to the contract
view page. From there, click on the link for contract mods,
where you will be taken to a listing of all the contract modifications on the
contract. In the upper right corner of this page above the "cumulative
obligated amount" column is a link for "download". Users may choose to
download the modification data into an excel spreadsheet. Once this
spreadsheet is saved to a user's computer, it can then be imported into EDW
(refer to
EDW User Guide, Part 5 - Importing Documents) and may serve as the official modification
register.
- Each time a modification
is issued, this download process can be repeated and the document can be
imported into EDW, saving the ACO/CA the need to manually update the
modification register.
-
This information is applicable to the
Contract Receipt
and Review guidebook and instruction process.
