Information Memorandum No.
07-086
Subject: Modification and Delivery Order (MDO) eTool (INFORMATION)
Date:
January 26, 2007
Target Audience:
All DCMA personnel involved in issuing Modifications or Delivery Orders
New Information/Guidance/Tools:
-
Reference DCMA
Tasking Memo 07-076 regarding
the retirement/shutdown of the ACO Mod Module, which will occur on January 31,
2007.
-
All ACO Mods in progress in either the ACO Mod Module or
"freeform" should be cancelled or fully completed (including released by the ACO
and the mod checked to make sure it did not contain errors)
by close of business on Monday, January 29th (MOCAS
is down January 30 and 31st).
The modifications should be worked to full completion, including having
the document placed on EDA.
- The new methodology for generating mods/delivery orders
not using MDO will not involve the distillers that were formerly in use with the
ACO Mod Module freeform documents. If files are created using the Formflow
application and placed in the distiller pickup locations, they will not be
processed after the conversion to MDO.
- If in-progress modifications will not be
completed within this timeframe, they should be cancelled in ACO Mod Module and
initiated in the MDO eTool. Users should not wait until the end of the
month to begin using MDO.
-
Like Mod Module, there are certain limitations in MDO that
preclude the use of the tool to issue some modifications/delivery orders. These
limitations can be seen in
section 11 of the MDO User's Manual. Users will no longer be
able to use the "freeform" methods used previously.
-
Instructions for creating and posting modifications and
delivery orders that cannot be created in MDO can be found in the eBusiness
Directorate Community of Practice within the DCMA Workspace Portal.
Information in this portal includes a powerpoint presentation on
MDO Freeform Instructions, and three fillable (.pdf) files (SF30,
DD1155, and
DD1155c-1) necessary to issuing these documents. The
MDO Freeform Instructions will walk the user through the process of creating
the modifications and delivery orders and uploading them to EDA. Questions
regarding this process should be referred to the CMO's Lead User.

This information is applicable to the
